ALL PLAYERS MUST SUBMIT THESE TWO FORMS BEFORE THE FIRST MATCH

Player Medical Information Form (Print and complete the form, and return to Coach Sexton)

You must have personal medical insurance to participate in rugby. If you need a season-long policy, talk to Coach Sexton about the details for getting this coverage. Please be sure to provide the name of your insurance provider and the policy number on the medical and player information forms.

ALL PLAYERS MUST BE FULLY ENROLLED BEFORE PLAYING IN THEIR FIRST MATCH

Membership Dues - All players must be registered with USA Rugby, the Western Rugby Union and the Heart of America Rugby Union to participate in rugby. The team will conduct a group enrollment, so do not enroll yourself.

The USA Rugby annual membership registration cycle September 1 through August 31. Player registration for the 2009-2010 competitive year is $65 ($30 USA Rugby, $20 West, and $15 Heart of America). The good news is that your dues are being paid by our funding allocation from through FAC.

Club Dues for Spring 2009 - Your fall semester club dues help to support club operations, pay referee fees, purchase of medical supplies, provide assistance for travel to away games, and hosting of visiting teams.

Returning players: $50 per semester

New players: $25

Playing kit - All players will need black rugby shorts, solid black playing socks, and a team t-shirt. These will be distributed to all players before the first match - but must be paid before receipt. Due to a special deal on our kit, the shorts, socks and team t-shirt will be $25 this fall.

Returning players = $50 Dues + $25 Gear = $75

New Players = $25 Dues + $25 Gear = $50

Player Gear Order Page - if you need any extra gear for the upcoming season, click here and submit the order. We require payment for all gear upon delivery. All members are required to have matching team black shorts and socks.

Truman Rugby T-shirts - All members are required to have a club t-shirt to wear before each match. Each player will receive a t-shirt with their playing kit (see above). Additional t-shirts are for sale, and can be purchased for family and friends, as available.

Old Truman jerseys - We have a limited number of "retired" Truman playing jerseys that are only available to players (and Alumni), on a first-come basis. These are great for practice.

Rugby boots - The price depends on the model selected (prices average $60-$70 per pair). I recommend that you either get soccer style shoes (backs) or go online and get rugby boots (see vendors links on the home page). Note, rugby-specific boots tend to be stronger and provide more support than soccer shoes - especially for forwards.

Shoulder pads and head gear - If players want these, we will get the best possible price available - or you can go online to order (see vendors links on the home page).

Truman Rugby gear bags - Special item.

Warm-ups - Special item.

VENDORS - You can contact these vendors and order gear for yourself using your credit card (which we can't do through the club).

American Rugby Outfitters - The link is http://www.rugbygear.com/. There is no set discount, but note that you are with Truman Rugby and ask whether there is any available discount.

World Rugby Shop - The link is http://www.worldrugbyshop.com/. This is a good place for gear, as well as logo merchandise for your favorite country. There are also frequent sales.
