Fall 1999 Post-season Banquet
The fall banquet was held Tuesday, December 7th at the Kirksville Country Club. Af ter dinner, outgoing president, Zak Wilson, made some remarks on the previous season and introduced the newly elected Executive Committee (see below). Coach Sexton then introduced the guest speaker, former player, coach, and two-time winner of the Chapman Award, Guy Hagen. Guy reflected on how things were at Truman (Northeast Missouri State) when he was a student and player. He offered words of encouragement for the coming season, and advised the Truman players to take full advantage of their time in school, and to appreciate their opportunity. Guy also encouraged them to consider taking time to travel and play overseas as a means of developing their game. Guy then regaled the audience with a few stories of bygone glories! Following Hagen's talk, Sexton presented the awards for the fall season (see below).
